Hello, I represent a company who will be starting in the Bellevue, WA area. While I can't describe the company with much detail here, I can describe a role that it will be looking to fill. This role will need to be an acomplished game programmer, who is comfortable giving presentations, talks, writing articles and training others in what they do. This person will be responsible for coming up with their own games and building them. Would prefer known game titles, or a portfolio like list of games with images/descriptions, and your role in them. You will take a key role in this company. This person should have 10 years industry experience, though not all of it needs to be in games. Technology in general will do. Education can count for the time, or a significant portfolio. Larger games and/or large influence in the process will stand out. Need to know, C#, SQL, XML, TCP/IP Should know, C#, 3D Engines, Physics, UDP, MMOs. Please contact me privately for any conversation on this. Thanks.

I am confused? Are you looking for a programmer or a lead developer?

Or are you looking for a business partner?

What is the salary range that you are intrested in offering?

I am sure you don't want to waste peoples time just as they do not wish to waste yours.

Salary target, 80k annual. Benefits are good, 100% on Medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc... Bonus's, Stock, and a percentage of your applications income as well.

The person would have additional resources available, such as a media team, QA, IT, Administration and PR, but they would be responsible for coming up with their own projects, and (if approved) execute them.

This person would also sit on the board of directors, to help decide the future of the company. Their stock becomes fully vested within 3-5 years, which they will be greatly responsible for growing.

And the person would be teaching others to do the same things you do, in a trade school setting.

I'm looking for diversity. Someone with a lot of various interests. for instance, perhaps you have 3 or 4 technologies you trully excel at, and about 20 others or so that you understand, but not necessarily proficient in.

While I would prefer someone with a good gaming background, I'm flexible on this. I need someone who can get their point across well, someone confident (with good reason), someone flexible, and a great communicator.

You will have 2 groups you need to impress. Me, and the investors. The hiring time on this is not presently defined. Until the opening team (board of directors at minimum) is defined, the company won't be funded.

So you're basically looking for someone already skilled enough and with a developed enough team, That they could start their own business?

There is a lot more to running a business than the skills I listed for this position, but they would certainly play an active part in it.

Game Focuses can be in any direction. Would prefer someone with excellent 3D knowledge.

Sorry for any confusion; When I said they would have the resources of media, QA, PR and Administration available, I meant that this would be provided to person hired. I don't know if it was read otherwise, but that is how it was meant.

Nice response and thank you. I truely wasn't sure to take your initial post seriously or not but I am glad to see you are on track.

I would be very intrested in the position you are discussing and I would be a very qualified candidate but as of this week I have received a significant "incentive" via my company and my role and salary have been increased to the point that I am very comfortable staying with my current position.

You need someone driven to succeed and very hands on and I wish you luck. I was actually hoping your response was sincere yesterday as I was quite interested but circumstances changed in a very positive way for me today :)

I wish you all the success with your venture. I know that if you truely are driven to succeed, success is assured.

I'm not sure if you have seen this section, since it is not part of the forums, but gamedev.net actually has a section called "Game Jobs" that specifically posts paid game development jobs. You may be more likely to find your target audience by submitting the opening to that area as well.
