Team Name: Project Potion Project name: Potion Making Brief description: The game is a time management game where the player follows directions to make potions in an attempt to make enough gold to move on to the next level. This is a new project that we are still in the planning stages of. Target aim: The goal is to make this game a retail release. This is also the first in a series of games that will all be based in the same game world with different target audiences. Compensation: We will be offering everyone on the staff a percentage of the sales from the project. We are still looking for team members and so cannot be sure what that percentage will eventually be. We can assure you that before we expect to see any work done that the exact percentage will be known and presented in a contract. Technology: We are planning to purchase the Torque Engine for this project but are willing to be flexible if there is a platform that an applicant is already familiar with. Talent needed: Lead Programmer: Samples of your work will need to be provided to evaluate your fit for this project. It would be best if you had experience with casual games. Artists: Looking for an artist or artists with a cartoon like style similar to that seen in many of the PopCap games. Team structure: The team consists of (1. The Project Lead - Myself (2. The Content Team [including the Content Lead], (3. The Art Lead Website: Right now we are using Google Wave to plan and organize. If you join the team and do not have access to Google Wave one of out team members will invite you. Contacts: josh.mannon@gmail.com Feedback: ANY

Hi, I'm a programmer, any idea what language will be used? or is it up to the lead programmer to decide?

We will be using the Torque Engine which is written in C++ and uses it's own internal language which is based on C++ so if you are familiar with that language you should be set. Of course if you have a language you feel more comfortable with (say Python or the like) and you can show that you can achieve the kind of design we are looking for then there is no problem with that either.
