Can you briefly explain what role would the manager of the game do?

Manager is Team Leader, and also to overview designs, Lend a hand where possible and where I can.

The following is just my humble opinion.

You will need to do much more than that to start a game. It takes a lot of effort to make a game, especially a MMO. A good project leader should have some experience of leading a team, spread out in different locations across the world. He will also have to motivate the team when the chips are down.

This is not a personal criticism, so dont take it personally. There have been many who have tried to develop a game without contributing to the game code, art or music. Some have at least prepared a design document of the game.

I have prepared lots of docs in relation to this game, I also have the leadership due to lead serveral web development projects thourghout europe/ india / ect

You should share a bit more info of the game, so that some of the guys interested would be able to see if they are up for it.

Also, I wish you all the best in your endeavor.

The year is 2020 the location classified, the time somewhere between Midnight and 2am. The job survival.

This was no ordinary day, the world is in a mess, the reasons, mass invasions from aliens.

Let me give you a bit of history on this the aliens landed in 2018 with a peacefull yet purposfull visit, they came and spoke with our world leaders at first offering to help sace us from the mess we had created.

Shortally in all turned to panic and the DoD realesed its protype x21 fighting machines, essentailly a robotic human with a gun and sensors for eyes, not a pretty beast but it did help in the begin of THE WAR.

-- End --

I hope you like it

Just a friendly suggestion (since you asked for all feedback); start smaller and build your way up. An MMO takes years to build and I don't think you are quite there yet to tackle something like this. Management alone on a big team is hard enough; especially when you have a constant flow of emails coming in that are high priority and they need answered yesterday.

Without a proof of concept, no real story or events, etc. it's going to be hard to find a team. There is no security or comfort blanket at all so people will be going in blind and not really knowing what to expect.

A note about the design doc... No offense, but you really need a writer. A design doc/story for an MMO is a novel (hundreds if not thousands of pages). Also, make sure the grammar in your design docs are top notch so the staff have an easier time understanding what is trying to be portrayed. Also, make sure your words are real. I'm not an author by any means, but I have never seen, nor used, the word shortally.

My best advice would be to take a step back. Sit down and really think this thing through. Jot down your ideas as they come to you; whether they are good or bad! Jot down ideas about missions, characters, events, societies, etc. Once you have enough ideas then go back through them a second time. This will allow you to do the "wtf was I thinking there?!? What a dumb idea!" type of thing. Likewise, on your good ideas you can improve upon them. This would be your design doc. Sure you can have an executive summary in there, but not the whole story line. Since it's an MMO I would write it in another doc just because of how large it will be.

I hope you took this as advice and not personal. My intent was to help you so I hope you got something out of it.

Don't mean to dissapoint you, but the chance of getting an alpha out for an unstarted MMO game in under a year is slim to none. I've been programming a third person, singleplayer RPG with an experienced team of 15 for close to a year and we don't even have an alpha build out yet.
