Hello fellow game developers. I am interested in building up my resume and gaining experience before I attempt to work my way into the gaming industry, preferably by means of a "testing position". Compensation All I am requesting for compensation is some notation on the game website--or in the credits--that I helped test your game. What to expect A Clear, detailed outline of every bug I find. An hour of testing per day, 5 days per week. I would like a clear cut time-line-- so that I may make a schedule. I'll be available for 1 week, 2 weeks, or monthly blocks. If need be, I can do a one-day power test (5+ hours), though I still expect equal compensation. Experience Outside of the occasional beta-testing for MMORPGs, I do not have any "Formal" game testing experience. I assure you that what I'm offering is legitimate testing-- If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the work I do I would take no offense to being dropped from the team immediately. Contact Information Please contact me at bryanjbartley@gmail.com if you are interested. Edit: Feel free to ask any questions or post here alternatively. Very nice of you to offer real testing, my game is in French though so I think that won't do it (correct me if I'm wrong ;) ).

Just being curious, do you have any experience as a tester?
(first time a 'real' tester tested the game I was working on I was like WTF are you doing with my game?!! Being a tester is (really) a real job, not just 'playing a game to check it out').

Cheers

Honestly, I have no experience as a formal tester (outside the participation in quite a few MMO betas.)

I have no interest in just playing a game to check it out though, I sincerely wish to help people improve their games.

I could test out the systems for you--my handy dandy French->English dictionary could get me through it (unless, of course, it is extremely text-centric).

EDIT: Took two years of Latin-- which would help me along the way.

I'm sending you an email as we speak.
The fact you were there before they invented the wheel doesn't make you any better than the wheel nor does it entitle you to claim property over the wheel. Being there at the right time just isn't enough, you need to take part into it.

I have a blog!

If you want to (I'd definitely be delighted if you would) you can check out my game here :

It's a "MMORPG" (we'll see about the Massive part later ^^) and I've just started the 'prototype-testing'.
