Team needed, remuneration will be paid.

Hey, guys!
Please read the following carefully!

A few months ago I posted the basic game design of a game called "The Last Pharaoh."

Those curious can search for it and see it.

Recently I received a mail from a financier wishing to invest in the game. But he will do so only in the case we can provide a viable demo of the game.

I am the writer/gameplay designer of the product and now require a team to complete the project.
Nearly every aspect has been conceptualized and only the execution is left.

If the financier is happy with the demo, he will invest in the game, and give monetary remuneration to all those involved. (That's us.)

I repeat, this game is NOT vaporware. The idea is simple and designable. It's simply a top down hack-and-slash game. On top of that, we require only the demo to secure the funding.

If you are interested, and belong to any aspect of game production, feel free to e-mail me: ajit256@gmail.com

For your consideration, the link to the game design document is posted again below:

Now,

Team Name: AJN Studios

Project name: The Last Pharaoh

Game genre: Top down, Hack and slash.

Website: https://sites.google.com/site/ajnstudios/sample-1

Game Engines: Programmers can choose between 2 engines: Unity 3 or Panda3D

Team Needed:

Programmer (1-3): Must be adept in recent developing engines, must have a passion for programming and overcoming challenges.
Duties: It is up to you to select the game engine best suited for bringing the game to life with the best graphics and minimum obstacles. Free engines are preferred here. Also, you will be responsible to make the gameplay come true. You have to connect the animation to the action, etc. You know the drill.

Audio designer (1): Must have access to high quality recording equipment.

Animator (1-2): Must be adept at creating fluid animations with a respectable amount of detail.
Duties: Every single animation in the game has to be created with a decent detail level and fluidity. If desired, you will be given a list of every single animation.

Concept artist (1): This job requires high creativity along with great skill. You have to be able to envision extravagant vistas with your own imagination and the writer's.
Duties: You are the vision of the game. Writers can only go so far. You have to use your creativity and design models, environments and other aspects. Be warned, you might also be called upon to design the levels of the game.

UPDATE:
Animators need to heave a big sigh of relief. The Last Pharaoh will have no cut-scenes! Instead, cut-scenes will be conveyed in an innovative alternative. So, that a huge load off any wishing animators!

Keep checking the comments section for further updates!

I do all my own original sound FX and music on my own equipment, no canned stuff.

This sounds like it'd be a lot of fun, and I'm looking for more projects.

Please check out my sound FX work sound FX work if you're interested. I can also provide you with original music in whatever style you need. I assume you'd be looking for something ethnic, something a little arid?

Thanks!

a few sounds can be borrowed form Triple-A games. However. if so, the related acknowledgments must be given.

What do you mean??

Terribly sorry for that, should have specified. One of my dastardly contacts misinformed me that small sounds that are less than 2 sec. (the clang the blade makes on impact) are exempt from copyright. It was these sounds I was referring to.

No more sir, anyone wishing to apply for the post must put forth a demo track (hopefully dark and foreboding) with complete originality. No amount of "borrowing" will do!

Sound FX can be and are copyrighted, and as far as I know there's nothing in the law that says as long as it's under 2 seconds, it's public domain. There's no litmus test for determining what's copyrightable, except that it be in a captured form (such as on disk) and that it is identifiable as being from another work.

But legal babble aside, I think it's always best to present all original work anyway. It makes a better impression.

Also, why do you have a screen shot from "Avatar" on your website banner?

I agree with everything yo said. The Avatar banner is removed and no "borrowing" will be allowed. So now, let me see a taste of that eastern arid music of yours!

Thank you for contacting me. I am interested in your game but the only thing that bothers me is I do not do royalties. I prefer up front contract and payment. www.eugeneivanov.carbonmade.com

It's not about royalties, we'll secure total funding (including payment) once we show the proof-of-concept. For that, all we're going to have is a blank arena with the Pharaoh, slaughtering 2 endlessly respawning foes. So at the moment there are only 3 models to be designed: The Pharaoh, a swordsman, and an archer.
The pharaoh will be holding his default weapon, the scythe. In the proof of concept, the weapons are not changeable and the powers are not activated.

Tell me what you think.

I know it's been a long time (2 weeks) but there is a last minute opening for the project.

We have a working proof of concept but it's riddled with bugs and we need a programmer adept to help us.

Our original programmer is away for a week but our deadline is in days.

Any programmers adept with the Unity engine are welcome!

Please note that all assets aside from programming are complete. That includes animation, models, textures, map, everything. As for the programming, the enenmy ai and the player movements are ready but need a ton of fixes.

Apply to ajit256@gmail.com if interested!
