Sure in the course of things after say 13 billion more years this universe will expand enough that entropy will be a problem for whatever sentient creatures that exist then, but until then, the universe is plenty dense enough to allow for life to flourish.. Suns compress matter and burn the lighter elements releasing enormous amounts of energy, more than any terrestrial civilization will ever need or use.. Humanity has always overcome supposed limiting factors on its growth by utilizing its intellect. [color="#1C2837"]Also if you examine the population growth curve not of the entire world but a single industrialized nation you'll see all of them exhibit the similar patterns, a period of exponential growth, then leveling off due to social dynamics, ie cost of living forces people to have less children which slows population growth in developed countries. Most of the developed countries have negative birth rates ie more people dying than being replaced.. Clean energy technology .... ftw?

Malthusian proponents would disagree. As our technology has increased our agricultural output, it has balanced the equation from the other end.

The cost of living in developing countries is higher w/ regards to income than it is in developed, affluent ones.
To think that we are no longer part of natural order is absurd. The Illusion of control is shattered instantly when nature deems so. Look at indonesia, new orleans, BP's deep water drilling, and currently Australia with the floods and fire.
