I'm a long time video game player, but I don't have any experience working on a game, well not the programming part anyways. I've taken courses on the narratives and plot constructs in video games, maybe I could help. Edit: I just got my student copy of Autodesk Maya 2012, with a little bit of getting used to the program I should be able to do some 3-D design.

If I don't get a reply by May 18th I will take the opportunity to join another team, but you can still email me, I might still provide some help.

Give it a few more days for a response. Everyone has lives you know. lol and plus he or she may be busy with other stuff to. So Just hold on.On other thought, I just saw the posted date. PS. i didn't mean to "take over the thread" or something like that. just wanted to get qickly started with game development in a team, like the others. If TS responds i woudn't hesitate to let him join.

GhostKnight are probobly right.
i've come to the conclusion that i do not have the abilities to be a team leader. (even for the time it would take for TS to answer) So i say we give him a few more days if there isn't anybody else who think they could be the (temporary) teamleder for this period.

If there's no response we can make a new team, i'm a beginner too, so we can work and develop our skills together just post your e-mail/MSN/Skype, etc. and i'll contact you guys =)

I have no problem you taken over the team as team leader. I bet you will be fine. Don't rush through the design documents. Always keep records or files on what every one is working on and always update old comments, suggestions, ideas and concepts on the details during the startup and through out the game project or projects. But start small and work your way up to, oh I say something like an MMO, or something entirely different. It doesn't always have to end up as an MMOrpg.

I say the post yesterday and saw everyone excited about the beginning team setup and was also freaking out if the origianl poster didn't respond. So everyone up to date is just waiting patiently. Which is good. This will comfirm to everyone who wants to be in the first original poster's team or in the second team by Falukorven. But Also start a new thread and close this one out if the original does not respond for all due respect of aanthonyz1.

Well whoever is leading. I would be ever so grateful, if I could get in on this.

Skills:
-I started learning to program 10 years ago in 5th grade.
-Ive learned primarily through tutorials, and some reading. Basically even though Ive practiced 10 years. I'm still woefully inexperienced.
-My main programming language right now is C++. Using the Allegro Library for graphical games.
-In the past I've also practiced in BASIC,Java, and Python. But I'm not an expert on any of them. C++ is definitely my strongest language.

aanthonyz1 has not come across this thread, seemingly, since February. My best bet is that someone here will need to just make a new thread with similar goals. I'm also looking for a team who wants to learn game development, but my vision is slightly different than the original poster's.
