The Legend of Edgar is a 2D platform game with a persistent world. The game features multiple weapons, over 50 different types of monster, numerous bosses and a completely optional side quest to compliment the main one. It supports (configurable) keyboard and joystick and is available in English, Spanish*, Chinese*, Russian*, French* and a few other languages.
What started off as a tutorial for making a basic platform game turned into this epic project, just because it's something I've always wanted to do.
