So as I understand it the MiT license is basically the "free" one.. were you can just do whatever you want with it .... but the GPL has various caveats like releasing the source code for example...
I found this C# GitHub of a implementation of OpenNLP but the githib is saying it is a MIT license but OpenNLP is Apache license?
So how dose that work license wise?
That github link seems to be someone's C# port of someone else's Java wrapper around OpenNLP?
It's also a bit of a mess -- a bunch of the actual source files contain the GPL license text and the name of another author (not the Github author)... so it seems like the github author doesn't actually have the right to just go switching the license from GPL to MIT??? I'd ask them these questions directly...
Over at the official OpenNLP page though, they don't use MIT or GPL -- they're using the Apache license, which is very friendly like MIT.
