Do you list your credits?

Yes, list your credits on your website. Maybe also on your resume.

Since when is a portfolio called credits? In my world, credits in the context of games is where you credit others for the work they contributed to the game.

I think the only one a person directly controls are their own websites and socials.

IMDB has a verification step, but if you've got credits listed in something they could be added. You can request it, but nothing is guaranteed.

What appears in the game is up to the contract you've got with the company. Game studios are often fiercely protective to make sure their names get listed, and it's generally in the contract terms negotiated with the lawyers.
