I wrote a paper, with the help of Claude, to describe a useful way to look at time dilation. It all basically boils down to the interruption of a process by the black body process. That is, the faster a process goes, or the deeper the process goes into a gravitational field, the more it becomes like the black body process. For instance, a yellow tennis ball would turn white where speed is v ~ c.
