Jin Universe Studios has launched in Singapore with investor support from Arbitrum Gaming Ventures and Bitkraft Ventures, and that capital is earmarked for its debut title, Aether Dawn. The funding amount wasn’t disclosed, so there’s no read on runway or team size, but the presence of two known gaming investors suggests the studio is being set up for a real multi-year production effort rather than a small prototype phase.

The team’s background is the most interesting signal here. Co-founders Tack Wei Ho and Tack Jun Ho are bringing experience from Tencent, Hypergryph Network Technology, and Kuro Games, with credits on Hitori no Shita (The Hidden Ones), Arknights, and Wuthering Waves. That mix points to familiarity with live-service expectations, high-content production, and the kind of combat-heavy, character-driven presentation that anime-style action RPGs depend on.

Aether Dawn is described as an anime-inspired hack-and-slash RPG with roguelite elements, and the studio says it wants to build a “long-lasting” IP. For developers, that combination matters because it implies a design target that has to support both moment-to-moment combat feel and long-tail content scalability. The Bitkraft quote also frames the game as occupying a “unique whitespace” between ARPG combat and roguelite replayability, which is investor language but still hints at the intended market positioning.
