Testronic appoints Sonia Kerr as CEO, Sharon Baylay-Bell becomes company chair
Testronic has appointed Sonia Kerr as CEO, replacing Sharon Baylay-Bell, who is stepping into the role of company chair. Kerr arrives from XR Games, where she served as CFO, and brings experience leading high-growth digital businesses through transformation and expansion.
The leadership change comes alongside a broader executive refresh. Mike Fitzgerald has been named chief revenue officer, while Samantha Williams has taken on the chief commercial officer role. Earlier this year, Mike Wallen was appointed president and main board director, rounding out a leadership group built to support the company’s next phase.
Baylay-Bell’s tenure as CEO saw Testronic expand its global Centres of Excellence, refresh its brand identity, and formalize a strategy built around being player-focused, partner-first, and outcomes-led. The company says the new team will continue investing in specialist expertise across Warsaw, Manila, and New Orleans to deliver more consistent and scalable QA services.
For game teams, this is mostly a business-side story with practical implications: Testronic is signaling that it wants to compete on depth of expertise, operational scale, and long-term partnership rather than just commodity testing. That matters for studios that rely on external QA for certification, regression, localization checks, and live-ops support, especially as production schedules get tighter and release pipelines get more complex.
