City Kit (Roads)
Kenney.nl has released City Kit (Roads), a free CC0 3D asset pack focused on roads, town streets, and city infrastructure. For teams building urban spaces, it’s the kind of modular kit that can save a lot of graybox time while still giving level artists and designers something readable to work with.
The pack lists 90 files and sits alongside Kenney’s other city-themed kits, including commercial, suburban, and industrial variants. That makes it easier to keep a consistent visual language across different districts without having to assemble everything from scratch or mix incompatible asset styles.
The kit has also received updates since its original 2021 release, including optimization and fixes in version 2.0, plus road signs and traffic lights in 2.1. Those additions matter for games that need more than just road meshes: signage, intersections, and traffic control props help sell scale and improve navigation readability.
Because the assets are under Creative Commons CC0, teams can use them without licensing friction in prototypes, jam projects, or commercial work. For small studios in particular, that lowers the barrier to iterating on city layouts before committing to custom art or a more specialized environment pipeline.
