CD Projekt Red sees profit climb 37% in H1 2026
GamesIndustry.biz reports CD Projekt Red posted $116.5 million in revenue for the first half of 2026, up 23% year over year, with net profit rising 37% to $66.7 million and net profitability reaching 57.2%. For developers, the headline is less about a one-off spike and more about how long-tail catalog sales and transmedia licensing are now doing real work in the P&L.
The company laid out a three-year Witcher plan centered on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, which launches September 29 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and natively on Switch 2 for the first time. Existing owners of the base game get the remaster free, and it includes both prior expansions. CD Projekt also confirmed a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment that will bring the remaster and the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion to Battle.net.
The franchise numbers are still enormous: The Witcher 3 has sold more than 65 million copies, while the series has passed 90 million. Cyberpunk 2077 has crossed 40 million copies sold, and Phantom Liberty has reached 15 million in under three years. That kind of scale explains why the company is leaning harder into repeatable content, platform reach, and licensing rather than relying solely on new-box launches.
On the media side, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is set for Netflix on October 20, again co-produced with Studio Trigger.
