Day 6 - “soon”

Time dilation

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you'd just speed up to light speed? I yes, this game will give answer. Yes, I added time dilation. The topic was “soon” and I had no idea what to do. Well, maybe except the idea about skipping/speeding up time, but I just couldn't stop myself. So yes, now there is time dilation. To see the effect, you'd need to accelerate to speed close to speed of light and somehow observe other ships. Their time will be different than yours, but good luck observing ships while going with speed of light. But… How much time does the ship need to accelerate to at least 1/10 of this speed? Well, current main ship needs about 10^6 seconds of non-stop accelerating on full thrust to reach that speed. This is about 11.5 days and this will only be 1/10 of speed. But what happens if you reach it? Well… Nobody knows that… Quite literally… In the game your velocity and time multiplier become NaN and whole screen becomes black. You can only close the game with alt+f4. No, this wasn't programmed - it's the actual behavior of game.

Fluid system

Fluid system is gonna be one of the most important elements of gameplay. Creating systems to transport fuel from pumps to engines and other machines will be one of the ship-construction challenge. So far, there are only proper graphics of pipes and weird-looking system in main ship. This doesn't support any fluids or pipe image adjustment yet.
