Capcom raises FY25 outlook following boost from Resident Evil: Requiem
Capcom revised its FY25 forecast upward after Resident Evil: Requiem beat expectations, now projecting ¥195.3 billion in net sales and ¥54.5 billion in net income. The company also said catalogue sales from major series stayed strong, alongside better results in its Amusement and Arcade divisions.
For developers, the interesting part is the franchise effect: Capcom says Requiem’s announcement helped lift sales of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village, reinforcing how a sequel reveal can revive older SKUs through discounts, visibility, and renewed player interest. Requiem itself crossed 5 million units in five days, later passed 7 million, and topped the US charts in February with launch sales 60% above Village.
