Indika dev Odd Meter raises $5m to fund next project
Odd Meter, the studio behind Indika, closed a $5 million round led by Gem Capital and Autotelic Ventures. The money is earmarked for the team’s next project and for expansion, with the studio explicitly saying it wants to keep its creative independence while growing production capacity.
For developers, this is a useful signal: a smaller narrative-focused studio can still raise meaningful capital off the back of a critically successful premium game. Indika launched in 2024 and went on to win Game of the Year and Best Narrative at the 2025 Games for Change Awards, plus nominations across The Game Awards, BAFTA, Golden Joysticks, and DICE. Odd Meter also had to relocate most of its team from Russia to Almaty, Kazakhstan during development because of the war in Ukraine, so this round likely helps stabilize the studio as much as it funds the next title.
“This round gives the studio the runway to grow the team and stay fully focused on building its next game.”
