MonoGame Hub
MonoGame Foundation is developing MonoGame Hub, a central tool for creating and managing MonoGame projects with fewer setup hurdles. The goal is to replace the usual scavenger hunt for templates, samples, IDE links, and getting-started docs with one place that checks your environment, points you to missing dependencies, and launches projects from official templates.
For developers, the practical win is faster onboarding and less boilerplate. The Hub can generate solutions for selected platforms, show richer template previews before creation, and keep a list of projects you created or imported so you can jump back into your IDE quickly. It also bundles blog posts and searchable resources, which should make it easier to find official guidance without bouncing across the website.
The current build is intentionally streamlined, but the roadmap is broader: more templates, .NET version selection, adding platforms to existing projects, console support, and deeper project management features such as third-party resource installation, NuGet/source switching, and archival. GitHub connectivity is optional unless you want private or sponsored content, or access to your own private templates.
Early access is being offered to contributors at the SpriteBatch tier or above through GitHub, Patreon, or PayPal. That makes the Hub both a tooling update and a community-funded effort, with the Foundation inviting feedback, pull requests, and bug reports as it iterates.
