Unity launches suite of AI tools to help creators accelerate game development
Unity has put a broader AI toolset into open beta for anyone on Unity 6 or newer. The centerpiece is Agentic Assistant, which lives inside projects to help developers understand code, assets, and editor workflows. Around it are Plan mode for breaking down implementation steps, Skills for focused guidance like UI or scene setup, and instant rollback so experiments are less risky.
The suite also generates placeholder materials, sounds, cubemaps, and 2D/3D assets, which should help teams prototype faster even if they replace most of it later. Unity is also exposing an AI gateway plus MCP server support, so developers can connect preferred external AI tools and LLMs directly into the editor. Pro, Enterprise, and Industry subscribers get the features and credits automatically; Personal users can try 1,000 credits for 14 days, then pay $10/month for 1,000 credits, with extra bundles available.
