Unity records "best quarter in history" following continued success of Vector AI
Unity’s latest quarter was its best since going public, with CEO Matt Bromberg pointing to the momentum behind Vector AI and the company’s product roadmap. Revenue reached $546 million, up 24% year over year, while net loss fell sharply to $23 million from $107 million a year earlier.
The biggest lift came from Grow Solutions, which rose 35% to $389 million. Unity says that growth was driven by the Unity Ads Network and AI-assisted user acquisition through Vector, even as the company continued winding down older pieces of the portfolio, including IronSource, which was discontinued earlier this year.
Create Solutions was more modest, up 2% to $158 million, with higher subscription revenue offset by declines in cloud and hosting after the portfolio reset. Strategic revenue climbed 38% to $486 million, showing that the company’s current mix is increasingly tied to ad tech and AI-enabled services rather than just engine subscriptions.
For developers, the practical takeaway is that Unity is still investing in the engine side while leaning harder into AI tooling and monetization infrastructure. Unity 6 already has a suite of AI tools, including Agentic Assistant, and those features are expected to carry forward into Unity 7, which enters beta in December and is scheduled for Q1 2027.
