Starts and Stops

Took an unintended break. Played some Elder Scrolls Online, some Bad North, some Smash Brothers, some MK11. Looked for work.

Now, back to it!

Rounding out the interactions for items:

  • Wrote the logic for Whisps, there chance to help or hurt the player and their overall reputation with the player.
  • Added the logic for interacting with the Guide item.
    • Need to create methods and helper methods for finding the exit, the nearest treasure, and the nearest ward. These will require getting the models straight for the maze.
      • Find the nearest room with the target in it. Return target. Pass target to path creator from target to player space.
  • Streamlined interaction with Jewels and Wards. It is a simply a take when interacted with, no “Yes/No” UI. Less stopping and starting.

Fiddled with models for the maze, and ran into some graphical issues when stripping the models down. Will need to address, and unwrap the models again. Next, create all of the path textures for each maze piece (rudimentary).

Have an outstanding bug with maze generation that will need to be reckoned with soon. Want to find BGM, and minimal SFX for Alpha.

Feature creep for Alpha is to increment the tone colorization of maze for exits and entities.
